Zifa agrees to players’ demands

Zimbabwe captain Willard Katsande has urged the Warriors to put the dispute with Zimbabwean Football Association over bonuses behind them and focus on the 2017 Afcon.

This comes after Zifa agrees to the players’ demands following a two day standoff over allowances.

“In terms of our preparations, nothing has changed, we are all geared up and we are happy with the mood and the fitness levels. In terms of our relationship with Zifa, nothing has changed,” Katsande told the News Day.

“We had some disagreements in our negotiations, but the good thing is we found each other in the end.

“As players, we keep reminding each other that this is our time and chance to shine. We have issues, but we have said, money is going to come, so let’s do our bit.”

The Warriors left for Cameroon, where they will face the Indomitable Lions in a friendly on Tuesday before making their way to Gabon to take part in the continental competition.
