Zanaco explains Mulenga’s move to Pirates
The Zambian club’s chairman Edward Mutale has explained why they decided to sell midfielder Augustine Mulenga.

Mulenga completed his move to Orlando Pirates in the last week of the January transfer month.

“Orlando Pirates were looking for a player who was expected to walk straight into their team and be able to do it,” Mutale told Lusaka Times.
“Augustine had a lot of agents looking for clubs but none of them made a concrete offer.

“We had three or four people from Europe inquiring but people were using his age as a liability implying that at 28 he wasn’t worth much.
“Pirates specifically looked at his age as a main selling factor.”
