Speaking to the Marawa Sport Worldwide show on Metro FM and Radio 2000 on Tuesday night, Kamanga said they decided to cancel the match duo to the xenophobic attacks currently taking place in South Africa.
“We are more on the football side than political side but unfortunately we had to do something,” said Kamanga.
“Look at the scenario whereby the game is playing but there are protests going on either inside or outside the venue.
“The game is off, and we communicated that to Safa and they understood. We have been talking to try and monitor the situation.”
The SA Football Association is said to be organising another friendly match with Madagascar.
