Quoting a source, Goal.com reports that the 25-year-old defender has been training on his own to keep fit while waiting for his contractual saga with the club to be resolved.
“Magazi was told he cannot join the preseason training, and I can confirm that he’s been training on his own with a personal trainer,” the source told Goal.
“He’s keeping fit, and I can tell you now that he’s in good shape. He’s just waiting for the matter with Chiefs to be resolved before moving on with his career.”
Xulu was among the seven players who were deemed surplus to requirements at Naturena following a poor 2016/17 season.
As reported by Phakaaathi last month, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be keen to sign Xulu.
Also keen to sign the former FC Rostov defender are Ajax Cape Town and Cape Town City.
