Will Ntuli’s return help the sinking Dikwena ship?

Platinum Stars’ survival chances received a massive shot in the arm with striker Bongi Ntuli recovering from injury.

Ntuli had to watch in agony in the last two matches as Dikwena struggled to make the grade. However’ the gangly forward has since recovered from a knee injury and will be in contention when Dikwena take on Free State Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace this coming Saturday.

Ntuli is delighted to be back.

“I wasn’t expecting to be injured. I was disappointed because the team was not doing well. Had the team been doing well, I was not going to be too worried. Now I am happy to be back. I think I would be able to play. I have trained well so far this week. I want to help the team to do better,” said Ntuli.

Ntuli’s presence will be a plus for Dikwena who are in desperate need of goals. The striker is keen to find the back of the net to aid the side out of the danger zone.

“Our problem remains goal scoring because other things we are doing well. We need to fix it by scoring. We need the goals in the remaining games. Everything that we do at training we have to take it serious. Even as strikers we have to make sure that we do our part at training and make sure that we score goals in games,” said Ntuli.

Ntuli sees the clash against Free State Stars as an opportunity to turn things in the favour of Dikwena.

“Our position is difficult. All the remaining games, we have to make sure that we get something home and away. We have a chance to start winning. We are playing Stars at home so we have to make sure that we get maximum points. Everyone has to work. Even attackers have to do their job which is scoring. I believe in our team. We are very strong. Everyone in our team knows the position we are in and they want the team to get out. It’s not over. There are still games to play and points to collect. Our supporters have to believe in us. We need the support so that we can win the remaining games,” said Ntuli.
