We need to look at ourselves – Ng’ambi

Dikwena are at the basement of Absa Premiership table and Ngambi says now is the right time for Roger De Sa’s men to win at all cost in a quest to move away from the danger zone.

“We need to turn it around now. We don’t have time anymore. The games are going. We can’t keep on complaining. We have to sort things on the field of play. We need to fight as a team. Bring back the confidence that we had. It’s up to us if we want to change things. It’s our jobs at stake,” said Ng’ambi.

Ng’ambi has called for introspection to find motivation for survival. He has also challenged his teammates to give their best in order to ensure that the team improve from previous showings which were not that impressive.

“We have to look at ourselves as to what we have done for the team. We also have to look at what we can do to save the team. We need to put in more effort. As a senior player I need to bring my A game so that I can help where the team is struggling. The other guys also have to come to the party. We have to look back as to what is it that we were doing right for the team that was winning cups and coming second on the log,” said Ng’ambi.

“An individual like me as an attacking player, I have to ask how much effort have I put into my game. How many goals have I scored? How many games have I created? In this game we talk about the collective as a team but sometimes individuals win you games. So as an attacking player I should be more worried if I am not scoring. It means there’s something that I am not doing right. That’s why I am talking about bringing my A game. I have to work harder to get goals and to create for my teammates so we get out of trouble.”

Dikwena will play hosts to SuperSport United in a must win game at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on February 20, Tuesday night. Ng’ambi says it’s a match where the turnaround has to start.

“We just need to improve and make sure that we start collecting points. We have to do well especially at home. We have not scored five goals at home and it’s not good enough. This is a game that we need to start scoring and start collecting points if we want to survive,” said the Malawian.
