We have to soldier on – De Sa

Though the odds seem stacked against Dikwena, who remain at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table with 21 points, De Sa says he and his men don’t expect any favours and will fight till the last whistle of the season.

“We are aware of the situation. We can’t sit and rely on other results. We have got to worry about ourselves rather. We’ll get to the end of the season and we will see where we are. We are not going to preempt points and hope that others lose. We can’t do that. We are not in control of others. We have to focus on ourselves. We have three matches to go and our objective is to win every game we play,” said De Sa.

De Sa has challenged his men to shrug off their 1-0 loss to Chiefs and fight for the remaining nine points. De Sa and his charges will have to rectify the errors committed against the Chiefs in order to win the rest of their matches.

“It was always going to be tough playing Chiefs after their loss. I know that Chiefs have had their difficulties but so have we. First half we rode our luck a bit. We created some chances and set-pieces, which were disappointing in their execution. The set-pieces were better last week and we capitalized on them, but this time we didn’t. We didn’t look hungry enough and we didn’t look clinical enough. We were second up there. No complaints though, we live to fight another day,” said De Sa.

Dikwena’s next assignment is a home clash against AmaZulu next week Wednesday, April 25 at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.
