Speaking to the media on Wednesday afternoon, Gould claimed ignorance of the situation which has raised debates.
Serero has reportedly told Safa that he would only honour his call-up if he gets a guarantee that he will get game time.
“We are not aware. That’s not our forte, we can’t say much. This is news to me actually. Maybe if you tell me more I will understand what you are talking about,” he said.

When it was explained to him that Serero had declined to join the team unless he gets assurance that he will play, he said: “That’s for him. We can’t say anything about that. It’s him and the coaches who can discuss that.”
Gould also said they have a plan in place for Senegal and that they understand that only a win will do on Friday.
