This comes after Bakgakga were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup competition by Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night. Makhubedu believes his side needs to try and win as many games as possible before the end of the season to avoid falling into the relegation zone.
Makhubedu wants his side to focus on their league campaign and moving up the log table, Baroka are in position seven on the table having collected 32 points in 24 games. The interim coach sees their Nedbank Cup exit as a blessing in disguise.
“Will do better next time, we just need to focus on Wednesday. This seasons log is not good it is unique I have never seen this from number four to number 16 we are not safe, when you check the points we have to focus on the league we are not save yet from number four to number 16 so we have to do well in the league. Cups are cups will be in the Nedbank Cup again next season,” Makhubedu told SuperSportTV after the match.
