A video of Belgian club Oostende midfielder Andile Jali doing an interview in isiXhosa has landed him in the ‘legends’ clubs on social media. In the video circulating on social media, the midfielder can be seen doing an interview in which he unapologetically uses a language he is familiar with.
He tells the reporter that his first week at the club was great, saying they were preparing for the second game, also sending well wishes to his teammates.
He also says he did not know anything about his new home before arriving, adding that it was not “strange” for him to leave Orlando Pirates back in SA.
Though reports had claimed Jali was unhappy at Pirates, he said it wasn’t the case, as the club had given him a good offer, which he rejected as he wanted to play for the team in Belgium.
