Lethal Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile is so popular that Amabutho have composed a song about him. A video posted on Twitter earlier this week shows a group of Zulu men doing a traditional dance while singing about Shalulile.
The leader of the song shouts a slogan about Shalulile’s lethality and the group joins in by singing “You like Shalulile! You like Shalulile!”.
“I get happy when Sundowns beat other teams,” shouts the leader, “You like Shalulile! You like Shalulile!”
So impressive is Shalulile’s scoring mettle that, in the 48 starting appearances he’s made for The Brazilians since joining them last season from the now defunct Highlands Park, he has netted 29 goals.
