Amakhosi lost their second match to United this season on Wednesday night at the FNB Stadium.
Calls for Steve Komphela to quit rang around the stadium after the final whistle with a section of the fans lambasted Bobby Motaung for signing players that have not made an impact to the side.
Chiefs, who were trailing SuperSport 2-0 at half-time, fought back in the second half to get a consolation goal but Matsatsantsa hanged on for the result.
Komphela was motivated by his side’s determination to give Eric Tinkler’s side a run for its money however their effort didn’t yield the desired results.
“You can’t give up, there’s no way. In the game of football, you happen to get red cards and you have to deal with it, and I thought after the red card, second-half we did much, much better,” Komphela told SuperSport TV in a post-match interview.
