The Brazilians were drawn against the SAB League side in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 in Johannesburg last Thursday.
“It’s quite an interesting one. It’s a cup game, and in a cup game, you have one shot to either win or you are out. But we will gather as much information as possible about them. We want to win,” Vilakazi told the club’s website.
The last time Sundowns were drawn against a lower league side they handed Powerlines FC a 24-0 drubbing, with Hlompho Kekana scoring a record seven goals.
“Look. That was then. The game keeps changing. It’s going to be a good test for us and also for them. We are motivated. We take it as a cup final.”
United, who are based Nkowankowa, in Limpopo, just missed promotion from the SAB League, and are currently on position five in the regional league log.
