Ubuntu to do their homework on Free State Stars

Ubuntu Cape Town coach Casey Prince believes it’s easier to prepare for an Absa Premiership side for a Nedbank Cup clash.

Ubuntu were drawn at home against Free State Stars in the quarter finals of the Nedbank Cup on Thursday night.

“I don’t know a lot about them at this stage, but we are confident because will be home, but preparing for Absa Premiership teams is better because you know what to expect from them, it is easy to access footage from their games because they are televised, so come the weekend of the game, we will know all about them,” Prince told Phakaaathi.

Prince added that he would have preferred to face Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.

“I would say Free State Stars were the side you hope to avoid and not Chiefs or Sundowns. When you are playing Chiefs you know what to expect, you know they will bring a lot of fans and it would have been nice in the stadium, but Free State are not a weak team when you look at where they are on the log table they didn’t get there by chance, so will get the footage we need and prepare.”
