Twitter reacts to Teko’s claims about Pirates using muthi
Cape Town City midfielder Teko Modise has claimed that Orlando Pirates players had to use muthi before games.

Modise made these claims during the launch of his book Curse of Teko Modise in Rosebank.

The former South African international said: “We used to bath a lot, none of the players really knew what was inside the bath”

Modise is the second former Pirates player to claim that the club was using muthi after Benson Mhlongo said Platinum Stars was the only club he had played for that never forced him to use muthi in an interview with SABC Sport.

Mhlongo played for Pirates between 2008 and 2012 and is currently working for the club as assistant coach.
