Twitter reacts to Gabuza missing his son’s funeral
Bafana Bafana striker Thamsanqa Gabuza was the star performer during SuperSport United’s MTN8 final against Highlands Park but him skipping his son’s funeral to help his side win the trophy is what got people talking this past weekend.

After the game, coach Kaitano Tembo revealed that Gabuza’s son died on Monday and was buried in on Thursday two days before they played Highlands Park and that the former Orlando Pirates striker did not attend his funeral to focus on the final.

Tembo said he was emotional after finding out that Gabuza had kept the death of his son a secret so he could play in the final.
The former Orlando Pirates striker won the Man of the Match against the Lions of the North on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium picking up a cheque of R25 000 for his performance.

I blame Orlando Pirates trophy drought for Gabuza decision not to attend his son’s funeral, this was his only chance to lift a trophy.

Nothing heroic here. My ancestors wl never forgive me for choosing to go to work instead of going to my son’s funeral. Gabuza’s decision making very questionable
