The Team of Choice walked away with a 1-0 win over Chippa United on Friday night at the Harry Gwala Stadium. United moved to 12th position on the league table after six games.
“I am very happy with the result we needed it,” Tinkler said after the game.
“I thought first half we played well and in the second half we didn’t play so well. I think losing Phumlani Ntshangase in the middle of the field was a big lose.
Tinkler says he will give striker Jeremy Brockie time for the striker to adapt to life at United.
“Jeremy will only get better as the games go on, he didn’t get a lot of game time (at Sundowns) unfortunately people don’t see that they just assume a player will come on and for things will be the same, it doesn’t work that way.”
