Ahead of Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final against Sekhukhune United at Loftus, Orlando Pirates midfielder Miguel Timm says they are eager to have the same feeling they had when they lifted the MTN8 earlier this season.

Timm says the feeling of winning a cup competition has become addictive to the players at the club.
“We are going into this game with a lot of hunger and desire to get that feeling we got when we won the MTN8. I must say it is a very addictive one (winning a cup) and it has become a virus in the locker-room in a good way. We are looking forward to the weekend and hopefully we can lift the trophy,” said Timm during the media day at Rand Stadium this week.

Bucs secured their spot for the Caf Champions League next season after finishing second on the DStv Premiership table. But, Timm reveals that their main objective was to win the league title.
“As much as we are happy with qualifying for the Champions League, one of the targets we set ourselves as a group was to compete for the title. The positives we will take is the solid foundation we have set for the future. We will give it a go next season. I am not saying we are not happy with reaching two Cup finals, but we have the capacity to do more.”
Timm joined the Sea Robbers from the now relegated Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the season and has quickly made a huge impact at the club.
He is one of the regular players in coach Jose Riveiro’s squad and he will be keen to help the club win a second trophy in his first season with the team.
