Tignyemb wants apology before he can return to Celtic

A source close to the goalkeeper told Phakaaathi that Celtic officials called Tignyemb and told him to return to the club, but the Cameroonian goalkeeper wants an apology before he could return.

“He is angry at the way the club kicked him out last week for speaking out for the players,” said the source. “The CEO (Khumbulani Konco) tried to get him to come back and sign the papers (to reinstate him) but he refused because they didn’t apologise to him.

“The treatment that Tignyemb got from club officials is the reason behind him not signing the papers. He still loves the club but was even thinking of going back home to become a farmer.

“Tignyemb met with Max (Tshabalala) to discuss the possibility of him coming back, but Tignyemb wants the club officials to apologise to him and his family instead of serving him with papers to come back.”
