City are said to be keen to make Mokwena their head coach next season, and talks between Rise and Shine have already started, according to reports.
As reported by Phakaaathi in March, Chippa United chairman Siviwe Mpengesi is considering speaking to Pirates counterpart Irvin Khoza to ask him to release his assistant coach Mokwena so he can appoint him as head coach at his team.
Phakaaathi learned that Mpengesi tried to lure Mokwena while he was at Mamelodi Sundowns, but he opted to join the Buccaneers instead.
Baroka are also believed to be interested in Mokwena, with a source within Bakgaga telling Phakaaathi the club’s technical director, Doctor Khumalo, is fond of the young coach.
