Thomas Mlambo returns ‘home’ to SuperSport
SuperSport have confirmed that Mlambo will be back with them after a few years away.

Speculation over one of South Africa’s most recognised TV sports presenters Thomas Mlambo’s future has ended after he was confirmed to have rejoined SuperSport on Friday.

The rumours had started when his previous employers, the SABC announced that he would not be retained when they made their annual changes in the beginning of April.
In a media statement, SuperSport have confirmed that Mlambo will be back with them after a few years away. He started his broadcast career at SuperSport.
“Thomas Mlambo will be returning to the World of Champions early next month,” screamed the headline of the statement.
“The seasoned broadcaster and football expert will help front up several of the broadcaster’s football properties, lending his expertise and enthusiasm to SuperSport’s vibrant sports offering.
“Mlambo has a world of experience, including hosting football World Cups, award shows and anchoring big-match broadcasts,” read the statement.
SuperSport’s CEO Marc Jury expressed his delight at having Mlambo back in their fold.
“Thomas is more than a world-class broadcaster. He is the epitome of professionalism, known as much for his insight as his warmth and good humour. We can’t wait to see him back doing what he does best,” said Jury
“SuperSport is where I began as a sports TV presenter and this opportunity to return is extremely exciting for me,” said the diminutive presenter. “I look forward to reconnecting with viewers across the African continent and to be part of one of the world’s biggest sports broadcasters.”
