The ball is really in your court, Pitso advises Billiat
The Sundowns coach says Billiat needs to show them signs he really wants to leave Chiefs.

Pitso Mosimane is not sure if Khama Billiat entirely wants to ditch Kaizer Chiefs and return to Mamelodi Sundowns, but says if the skilful talisman really wants to go back to Chloorkop, he might have to take a leaf from the European hymn book, where players either contribute towards their transfer fee or just drop their performances and sulk until they can force their way out.
Spanish midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas had to pay about €1 million to Arsenal in his first year at Barcelona after making the switch to his boyhood club in 2011. Manchester City’s defensive midfielder Fernandinho was so desperate to join City and he contributed €4 million towards his transfer fee to Shakhtar Donetsk six years ago.
While Mosimane is probably not expecting Billiat to go down that route of forking out his own money, as the club are more than capable of covering any financial costs, he said Billiat needs to show them signs he really wants to leave Chiefs.

“You know the players we want but we can’t get them for now. Anything is possible in football, we have to try again,” said a hopeful Mosimane.
“It is totally different here at home. If David Luiz wants to go to Arsenal (from Chelsea), he goes. You know what he does to go. I am not saying those things should be done because they can happen to me one day. When Eden Hazard wanted to go to Real Madrid he made sure he went. When Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to go to Juventus he left Madrid and it was not a small transfer, it was a big one. Neymar wants to go to Barcelona and he is not even playing,” said Mosimane.
With the window shutting this Friday, he says he wants to set some players on free transfers but it is a lot easier said than done.
“There are players who want to leave and we want to allow them to leave, especially if they are not playing, otherwise we are killing their careers. Coming to Sundowns is always easier. The challenge is that when they don’t make it, then they are stuck. Mogakolodi Ngele did not want to leave but when the contract ends, reality strikes.”
