Modise suffered a hip injury during training and missed his side’s 2-1 lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup.
It is suspected that Modise has a tear in the hip/groin area and that could keep him out for a while.
“I told you at the time he was just resting as a precaution‚” coach Benni McCarthy told The Sowetan. “But I knew immediately he would be out.”
“He has one more season on his contract and we definitely want him for the next campaign‚” added McCarthy.
Modise has helped the Mother City outfit to the quarter final of the Nedbank Cup and to a healthy position on the Absa Premiership table.
