Teko comes face to face with Pitso after book revelation
Perhaps what could be described as the elephant in the room will be addressed tonight as Teko Modise and Pitso Mosimane cross paths for the first time since Modise left Downs.

In his book, The Curse of Teko Modise, the ex-Sundowns midfielder revealed that he and Mosimane had not been on speaking terms in the last two years. However, Mosimane refuses to comment on Modise’s biography.
“Teko has done nothing bad to me,” said Mosimane. “I only want to remain with the good memories. The goals that he scored and the passes that he made, he is a legend and I am happy that is was part of it from the beginning and until the end.”
Nonetheless, Mosimane is expecting Cape Town City to come out guns blazing when they meet at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium tonight. Benni McCarthy’s City side can boast of having completed a league double over Masandawana last season, but “Jingles” refuses to use those games as a point reference.

“When you look at City saying they have beaten us twice and we have never beaten them before, we will be emotional and we will personalize it,” he said.
“It has nothing to do with that, it is a different time. I remember when Platinum Stars, Moroka Swallows and Bloemfontein Celtic were beating us all the time, but it is a different story now.
“Benni is an attacking coach. His team is always going forward but against AmaZulu I didn’t see much. They tried to go forward and they are one team that plays football like Celtic, they don’t sit at the back,” he added.
