With reports earlier this week suggesting that Mamelodi Sundowns will only accept and offer of around R47-million for their star attacker Percy Tau, the player has questioned how the value is determined.
Speaking after collecting his award for Best Player for April at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) offices, Tau laughed off the price tag said to have been put on his head by Masandawana.

“How do you determine it?,” asked Tau jokingly. “I know in production that if you talk about a product you have to consider the cost of making it, the labour and the quality of the product to determine its value. I don’t know how they got to that amount.
“I don’t have anything to say about it. If I were to get a summary of how they got to that amount I would comment,” he added.
Tau also said he is not under pressure to score on Saturday when they meet Bloemfontein Celtic in their last Absa Premiership match.
Tau is currently tied on 11 goals with Polokwane City’s Rodney Ramagalela and he needs to score to earn himself a top goal scorer award when the PSL honours those who did well this season in a few weeks.
“I am not putting myself under pressure to score. If it happens I will be happy because it would be progress for me. But if not, it is still progress for me,” he said.
