Swaziland soccer boss shot dead

Gamedze was shot on Sunday evening when he stopped to fill up his car after watching a game between Mbabane Swallows and sworn rivals Manzini Wanderers at Somhlolo National Stadium.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, with reports in Swaziland confirming that he suffered two gunshot wounds.

“Yes, it is true that our chairman has been shot to death,” club’s CEO Sandile Zwane told Independent Media.

“We are still shocked. We are busy sorting out things with the family.

“We will release a proper statement that has all the details on Tuesday. We want to get the direction from the family,” Zwane explained.
