Swallows coach slams players after defeat
Zeca Marques was not pleased with Moroka Swallows’ showing at the weekend.
The Dube Birds were beaten 3-0 by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in a GladAfrica Championship match on Saturday.
Swallows are now at the bottom of the GlaAfrica Championship table after collecting just one point in their opening three games.
“We want to challenge for automatic promotion and possibly have a strong run in the Nedbank Cup,” said Marques after the game.
“Very disappointing. I feel for the supporters, my chairman and the president. They have put so much effort in getting this club back on track and this is the dismal performance that we gave them.
“No energy, no heart, no pride. When you play you must have pride. You have to play with heart and have that energy but we didn’t. We were far from our best and it wasn’t because of the weather because it was the same for both clubs.”
