Swallows close in on ex-Sundowns star
Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits defender Vuyo Mere has started training with GladAfrica Championship side Swallows.

The 35-year-old was released by Bidvest Wits at the end of last season and is without a club.
He played for Swallows in the 6-0 training game loss to Bafana Bafana during the international break
“He arrived on Tuesday, he attended his second training session when they played against Bafana Bafana,” a source told Isolezwe.
“They want to sign him, they have started with contract negotiations. They are in need of a central midfielder and they believe he is the right player who can play in this position plus his experience will help the team.”
Mere spent six months on loan at Swallows from Sundowns in 2011.
