Survival is still within our reach – De Sa

Platinum Stars coach Roger De Sa says Dikwena will keep fighting as they still have a chance to make it out of the danger zone.

Even in his absence due to suspension, De Sa is confident his charges will put up a good fight when Dikwena take on Free State Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace this coming Saturday.

“We have to do what we are in control of. We have to carry on doing what we are supposed to do. We have to keep working hard. We are still there. With our fighting spirit, we were so close to turning it around in the last two matches. We have to keep believing and it will come. It’s not for lack of trying or efforts but maybe individual errors that have cost us a little bit. Be it missing chances or conceding goals. We will continue fighting and tomorrow is another opportunity to get it right,” said De Sa.

De Sa is adamant his men would put behind their recent disappointment at the hands of Maritzburg United, who beat Dikwena 2-1.

“Everybody is fired up again. They know that one is gone and forgotten. We now fight another day. We are still within reach of the pack at the bottom there. We are going to keep on going. We know it’s going to take one moment of brilliance and one match to turn it around and we will start getting going again. We have got to believe that we can do it,” said De Sa.

De Sa’s number two – Milton Dlamini will be in charge when Dikwena host the men from Free State. De Sa says they have done their homework on the opponents.

“We know what Free State Stars are like. We went to them and played to a draw in the first round. It was a hard fought draw. Most of their draws are like that. The way they play they are a fighting team. We have to expect that. We have to be ready for that. They have showed some drastic fighting when they play away. We know what’s up next. We have to be at our best once again,” said De SA. Kickoff is at 8.15pm
