SuperSport United star accused of assaulting a woman
SuperSport United have released a statement in response to social media allegations of abuse involving star midfielder Thuso Phala.
Allegations making the rounds on social media claim Phala and an unnamed woman abused the victim, leaving her with an injured eye.
SuperSport have since issued a statement saying they are aware of the allegations.
“SuperSport United has become aware of allegations of abuse involving Thuso Phala circulating on social media.
“The club has spoken to the player, who denies the allegations and has sought legal advice against these defamatory allegations.
“SuperSport United will let the law take its course. Suffice to say that the club condemns violence of any form, especially against women and children,” read the club statement.
