The Onduparaka FC players Mohammed Shaban and Rashid Toha are expected to land in South Africa from Uganda on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The two players were part of the Uganda’s national team who were preparing for 2018 Championship of African (Chan) qualifiers but have been allowed to leave camp to link up with Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
The news of the pair leaving for South Africa was also confirmed by Cranes coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic.
“There are two or three players who will leave the camp to go for trials in a certain country,” Micho is quoted as having said by Chimpreports.com.
According to a Phakaaathi source, Shaban was voted Uganda’s Player of the Year last year, beating Mamelodi Sundowns keeper, Denis Onyango to the award.
Shaban scored 13 goals last season and the 20—year-old is considered a future star in Uganda.
