SuperSport eye ‘want-away’ Sundowns star

Billiat is said to have decided against signing a new contract and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Sibiya says he is aware of Billiat’s situation at Sundowns and will continue to monitor it from a safe distance.

“He (Billiat) is one of the players that I like, but unlike Sundowns I respect the fact that a player still has a contract with a team and I will not force the matter. If his agent says he would like to play for SuperSport United, then we would be happy to have him in the team,” Sibiya told Isolezwe.

Matsatsantsa and the Brazilians have been in a tug-of-war over the services of players in recent seasons with Downs tabling an offer for SuperSport striker Jeremy Brockie during the last transfer period. However, SuperSport decided against selling their star striker to their Tshwane rivals.
