Mbule, who turned 21 earlier this year, is earmarked as one of the future stars of South African football.
For him to reach his full potential and keep his place in Matsatsantsa A Pitori’s starting line-up, he needs to double his efforts.
“I am happy with the progress which he has made, he just needs to stay humble and keep working. I think there is still a lot of work he needs to do and he needs to be more of an effective player,” Tembo said.
“When we speak about an effective player we are speaking of scoring, he needs to start creating because when we play two number 10s, him and Teboho Mokoena, they need to chip in on the goals because they are attacking players. Teboho scored a few goals last season and I expect Sipho to create and score goals so there is still a lot of work for him. He needs to continue working hard and if he slags down he will find himself on the bench,” Tembo added.
The United mentor continued: “Sipho is a different kind of a player and when he does not have the ball he is not effective. A lot of teams now are aware of his quality and when they start pressing him he needs to start working hard because most teams are aware of his qualities and that he can cause a lot of problems if they focus on him and press him a little tighter and he needs to free himself and find the space for him to play.”
