Lyle Lakay would like to see his former club Cape Town City lift the MTN8 on Saturday.

Lakay, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns from City during the last transfer period, was part of the City side that lost to SuperSport United in a penalty shootout in the final of the same competition last season.
The winger would like to see Benni McCarthy win his first trophy as a coach when City meet SuperSport at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.
“Obviously I want Cape Town City to win,” Lakay was quoted as saying by IOL.
“We are like a family with the majority of the guys at Cape Town City.
“I grew up with the guys in the team. Obviously, with the help that Benni McCarthy gave me, I support them. Losing in the final with Cape Town City last year also adds to that. Hopefully, they can win. We (Sundowns) couldn’t go all the way, so hopefully they can.”
