Mamelodi Sundowns Tiyani Mabunda has apologised to football fans after he was sent off in an Absa Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night.

Mabunda was booked twice in the second half and was sent for an early shower.

The first booking was for charging at Amakhosi’s Joseph Molangoane for a late challenge on his teammate Khama Billiat, while the second was for a late challenge on George Maluleka.
“To all those who follow & believe in me, I humbly apologise for the red card last night. I shouldn’t have acted in that manner,” read a message posted by Mabunda on Twitter.
