According to Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane, persistent injuries have led to Onyango thinking about quitting the national team after this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
“I heard a little bit from the other keepers that probably the [2019 Africa] Cup of Nations would be his last,” Mosimane told SowetanLive.
Onyango, who has 67 caps for Uganda, has kept five clean sheets for the Cranes in their 2019 Afcon qualifiers, helping his country booked their spot in the continental tournament, which will be held in Egypt.
