Sundowns get cold feet due to hefty price tag on Coetzee

Coetzee has been absent from Ajax’s preseason training, which led some officials at the Urban Warriors to believe he was training with Mamelodi Sundowns.

A source close to the player told Isolezwe Ajax values the player at R30 million.

“Sundowns would like to sign Rivaldo [Coetzee], but they are not prepared to pay R30 million,” said the source.

The Brazilians plan on meeting with Ajax over the transfer to work out a deal that will suit both parties in the coming weeks.

The Bafana Bafana defender has been quoted in the media on several occasions talking about a move away from Ajax to help him grow as a player.
