Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies coach Jerry Tshabalala has lauded his players for executing the plan perfectly against AS FAR.

This comes after Banyana Ba Style edge the Moroccans 1-0 on at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Wednesday to book their place in the final of the Caf Women’s Champions League.
Tshabalala says he had studied AS FAR thoroughly coming into this game and he knew exactly how to hurt them.
The game was closely contested between the sides, with both sides not taking some of their half chances, especially in the first half, which was quite balanced.
“I watched all AS FAR games, and I said ‘the first 60 minutes, they are a very good side’. They are strong and they will come at you. I just told the girls that we need to maintain them and I knew that in the last 30 minutes, they will break,” said the Banyana Ba Style coach.
“Hence you saw a different performance from the girls in the second half. They played into our hands and fell into our trap.”
Having previously lost to AS FAR twice, Tshabalala was asked if the Moroccans are their hoodoo team, but the Brazilian ladies coach said no.
“I was once asked if AS FAR is our hoodoo team, and I said we only played them twice and let’s see if they will beat us for the third time and I will say they are our hoodoo team. But with our players coming from the national team, they add a lot of value,” he continued.
“Why am I saying that? Is because the experience they gain playing in the African Women’s Championships (Women’s Africa Cup of Nations) gives them that experience because they play with the players who are playing at the highest level.”
