According to The Sowetan, Seabi is seen as a long term replacement for club captain Hlompho Kekana as the Brazilians’ skipper is on the wrong side of 30.
“The man working on the deal is Jazzman and you know him, he doesn’t speak about these things before it’s done,” a source told The Sowetan.
“The deal will be concluded any time from now. The most important thing is the club-to-club agreement and that is still outstanding. It’s only a matter of time before Seabi joins Sundowns.”
Earlier, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said he will only sign what he needs this season, having only signed Uruguayan striker Mauricio Affonso from Peru side Alianza Lima.
Mosimane is confident that he has a squad that can compete this coming season.
