Sundowns appeal Mosimane’s red card

As a result, Mosimane is suspended for two games.
Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa, however, says the club has submitted documents to appeal Mosimane’s red card.

“I feel like ‘penaldhino’ is targeting Pitso. It was an unfair sending-off. We cannot fold our arms and keep quiet. The coach has the right to protest and the referee’s job is to calm the situation, instead of being emotional himself,” Thuswa told the Daily Sun.

“Going through video archives of games where Gomes was involved, you are tempted to believe there is more to this than meets the eye,” added Thuswa.

The Brazilians have been vocal about the officiating in the game again Benni McCarthy’s side, with Mosimane’s assistant Manqoba Mngqithi calling for referees to explain some of the decision they take during the game.
