Sundowns and Wits Caf matches to be televised

Pay TV channel SuperSport TV has agreed to air the Caf club competition game.

According to Sunday World, television deals have been struck to allow the sports broadcaster to have the African Champions League matches on South African screens.

Both Wits and Sundowns will welcome their opponents to South Africa in the second-leg match.

Pitso Mosimane’s side will host Rayon Sport of Rwanda at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday, March 18, while Wits welcome Primeiro Agosto of Angola at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday, March 17.

South Africa have two other teams in the African Confederation Cup, Cape Town City and SuperSport United.

In the past, the local TV channel has televised the knockout stages of the continental club tournament. In this campaign, SuperSport plans to televise the preliminary round and the rest of the games set to be played.

The tournament has gained interest in South Africa following Mamelodi Sundowns winning the Caf Champions League cup and SuperSport United reaching the final of the Confederations Cup.
