The Ghanaian’s stay at Zamalek was cut short when his contract was terminated after he failed to score on his return from a loan stint with Petrojet.
Acheampong’s former representative Abdelrahman Mohamed El-Khabarawy filed a law suit for unpaid commission for facilitating Acheampong’s move to Zamalek back in 2017.
El-Kharabawy and Acheampong had agreed on a transfer fee of 400 000 Egyptian pound (R332,263) for which the striker failed to pay.
Acheampong, who now plays for Al-Shamal in Qatar was sentenced to three years in jail for not paying the fee and for failing to appear in court.
