Steve Komphela joins Celtic as head coach after failing Chiefs
Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed the appointment of Steve Komphela as their new head coach.

Komphela left Chiefs last season after failing to win any major trophies with Amakhosi in three seasons.
The former Bafana Bafana defender rose to prominence as a coach while mentoring Siwelele’s crosstown rivals, Free State Stars.

“Yes, it’s true he is on his way to our training grounds as we speak,” Celtic media officer Sello Nduna told Phakaaathi.
“Our team starts preseason planning today [Wednesday], so we hope that he will make it to meet the players for the first time as they return for training today.
“Mr Komphela has signed a two-year contract with the club with an option for an additional one year,” Nduna explained.
“We are not sure yet when will unveil him officially as our coach. That is something that we are still discussing as a club, but we will call a press conference soon and let the media know about it,” Nduna concluded.
