Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has expressed disappointment with his side’s first half display during the 1-0 defeat to Polokwane City at empty Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.
The game was played behind closed doors following a pitch invasion at the same venue in April this year.
Solinas was very critical of Amakhosi’s display in the first half, but felt they improved in the second.
“I’m disappointed for the first half. The second half, no, the guys played well. In the first half there was no mobility, no movement,” Solinas told SuperSport TV after the game.

“We did not understand how to attack their back four, no clear idea. But in the second half the guys performed.
“It’s a particular game, they score and stay at the back. They did not create the chances, only the (goal). But this is a football game this situation can happen,” he added.
“In the second half in my opinion the performance was positive. It’s not easy to play the second half in this manner because they all stayed behind the ball. The space is very tight.
“But the guys in the second half played football, it’s a pity. Congratulations to Polokwane City. We move forward, we continue to work hard. This is the life, this is the football,” concluded Solinas.
Chiefs’ next league game is against Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, October 26.
