Chiefs have not won silverware in three seasons under the mentorship of Steve Komphela.
The Soweto giants were knocked out of the MTN8 competition by SuperSport United and missed out on a chance to win a trophy for Solinas.
Chiefs will face Black Leopards in the Telkom Knockout Cup in a round of 16 tie on 12 October at the FNB Stadium.
“Kaizer Chiefs compete to try to win trophies. But competition is difficult here, it is very strong. It is not easy because the opponents are very good.
“We try to fight to win trophies because we are Kaizer Chiefs…Kaizer Chiefs compete to win trophies.
“We need the trophy for our fans, to make our fans happy. So, we are fighting and working hard to [achieve) that.”
