Orlando Pirates defender Bandile Shandu says it’s very difficult to accept the club’s defeat to Cape Town Spurs after creating plenty of goal-scoring chances to win the match.

Pirates suffered a 2-1 loss to Spurs in a DStv Premiership clash – a first win of the season for the Urban Warriors – at the Cape Town Stadium last Wednesday.
Shandu reckons the team‘s performance was not bad despite their failure to utilise their goal-scoring chances.
“It’s a difficult result (to take) especially looking at the way we played, the chances we created, it’s very tough to take the this loss. But we need to focus on the next game and pull together (as a team),” said Shandu after the match.
“It was not as bad as it seemed. We created a lot of chances, that was a good sign. We just need to convert those chances. But the way we played (was good), even after half-time we managed to create a lot chances.”
The loss extended Pirates’ winless run in the league to four games. In the process, Bucs suffered two losses (against Mamelodi Sundowns and Spurs) and drew two (against AmaZulu FC and Polokwane City).
