Semenya played at Baroka for two seasons and will now look to sign a new contract in the 2019/2020 season.
The 33-year-old defender spoke of his uncertain future at the Limpopo based outfit in a recent interview after his contract expired at the end of the season.
“I have left Baroka. My contract wasn’t renewed by the club,” Semenya told Phakaaathi. “Right now I am not stressed, I am relaxed because most clubs have not opened yet, they are still on break (off-season break). You can’t be contacting clubs before they open.
“Some clubs don’t even have coaches so I can’t be saying I am looking for club when some don’t even have coaches. So I am taking a break and relaxing for now.”
