Sangweni sustained the knee injury during Pirates’ 1-0 win over Chippa United last Saturday.
“Sangweni is expected out for up to two weeks as he undergoes rehabilitation,” read a statement on Pirates’ website.
The Buccaneers will have Happy Jele back for their league match with Baroka after serving his one match suspension.
