Sandilands boost for Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands has been cleared for training after spending some time on the sidelines.

The shot-stopper was on the list of injured players at Pirates which put the club into a goalkeeper crisis following an injury to Jackson Mabokgwane.

Sandilands has missed a few games for the Buccaneers and has started training with the team again.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns goalie has been linked with a move away from the Soweto giants, with the newly promoted side Highlands Park mentioned as his possible destination.

Sandilands joined Pirates at the start of the season while, the club was struggling in the goalkeeping department and managed to stabilise that position before he got injured.

The bad news for Pirates is that in-form attacking midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch could be out for a while after sustaining a shoulder injury in a 2-1 win over AmaZulu at the weekend.
