Safpu sends condolences after death of former player
The South African Football Players’ Union (Safpu) has sent condolences to the family of former University of Pretoria and SuperSport United player, Dumi Masilela.
Rhythm City Actor Dumi Masilela
Masilela died on Wednesday night.
He was an actor at eTV’s Rhythm City when he died after being shot during an alleged hijacking in Tembisa on the East Rand.

Not many knew that Masilela – who played the role of Sfiso in the popular television series – was a professional soccer player before an injury put paid to his career.
“Our deepest condolences to the families and friends of Dumi Masilela former Tuks and SuperSport United player,” wrote Safpu on their official Twitter page.
The post was accompanied by Masilela in a Tuks shirt during his playing days. He was a promising striker but an injury ended his career.
